Suffer from an illness causing an inability to perspire;
Are taking anticoagulants, antihistamines, vasodilators, vasoconstrictions, stimulants, hypnotics, narcotics or tranquilisers or any other medications;
Have eaten a heavy meal within one and a half hours;
Have consumed alcohol within one and a half hours;
Are pregnant;
Are feeling unwell and suffering from any medical condition.
Make sure you know how all the equipment is operated;
Wear appropriate clothing;
Do not spend long periods in the gym exercising;
Make sure equipment is adjusted only by a trained person.
Remove any metal items, jewellery and watches as they can cause injury;
Remove contact lenses as they may become uncomfortable;
Remove suntan lotion and make up and take a warm shower;
Only operate the equipment as instructed by a qualified fitness instructor;
Before starting a training session, please ensure you warm up completely, in accordance with the warm up programme supplied to you by a qualified fitness instructor;
Before leaving the gymnasium make sure you cool down and stretch out your muscles;
Use a dry towel to wrap yourself in and relax for 15-20 minutes or until your body temperature has returned to normal and take a warm shower before dressing;
ALWAYS replace lost fluids by drinking plenty of liquids - but NOT alcohol.
CHILDREN - Young children are not allowed in the gymnasium. Older children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Adults must be aware of what affect the exercises may have on their child.
ELDERLY - You should be very careful due to the stresses which exercising puts on the heart and respiratory system.
PREGNANT WOMEN - Do not use the gym unless you have a work out regime that has been agreed with your doctor.
